We are an Aniishinaabeg family drum group originally from Chippewas of Nawash

Chippewa Travellers Singers

Chippewa Travellers have grown up singing within the Powwow (Helushka) society, with several teachers who have been instrumental in guiding the group in proper drum & powwow etiquette. Those teachers were Ben Bearskin Sr. (Winnebago, Nebraska), Arthur Butch Elliott (Neyaashingaming), and Art Solomon (Killarney).

Live @ Wikwemikong 2013: We the Chippewa Travellers, give thanks for all the love and support that we have received on the powwow trail. Our group has been together since 1998, which is really special since we all have to travel many miles to come together to sing. We would like to thank the community of Wikwemikong in allowing us to record at their 53rd Wikwemikong Contest Powwow.

Love Zaagidwin: Of all the Anishinaabe values we possess, love is probably the most influential. The Anishinaabe understands love can encompass many dynamics, sometimes the source of our deepest pleasures/happiness and our deepest agonies. Everywhere we look, nature, society, learning relationships and family, love affects all aspects of our lives.
